Sweden & Panama Explore Business Opportunities

πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ Last month the Panamanian Vice Minister of Industry & Commerce, Eduardo Arango, met with the Swedish Business Commissioner for Mexico and Central America, Helena Carlsson, in a meeting that opened up business opportunities between the two countries 🀝.

Helena Carlsson reaffirmed Sweden’s commitment to sustainable economic development and expressed her willingness to strengthen collaboration with Panama in various areas of common interest, such as innovation & sustainability in which Sweden πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ excels.

Swedish Companies in Panama

A number of well-known Swedish companies currently operate in Panama under the Multinational Headquarters regime (SEM), such as Alfa Laval (engineering and specialized services) and Ericsson AB (technology and telecommunications). These are joined by Electrolux Group (household appliance manufacturing), Skanska Panama (infrastructure and heavy construction), and Volvo Construction Equipment Panama Co., S.A. (construction machinery and solutions).

Both parties agreed to follow up on the projects discussed, according to the press release by the ministry.
