Earlier this month GaTech Panama published their fifth and final report in their medical device white paper series: “Panama as a Strategic Supply Link for Medical Devices”.
The report spotlights Panama’s current role in the global medical device supply chain, regulatory & compliance considerations, the main trade statistics of medical devices exports from and imports into Panama and finally the opportunities of Panama as a logistics hub for medical devices.
Panama provides special economic zones, such Panama Pacifico and Colón Free Zone, that are intended to facilitate the import, processing, and reexport of goods, such as medical devices, to the rest of Latin America and beyond. Specialized packaging and sterilization of medical devices are among the services that set Panama apart.
