Belgian & Dutch Companies Eye Panama in Trade Missions

Last week a Trade Mission of 10 Tech companies from Belgium’s 🇧🇪 Walloon Region visited Panama. Goal was to strengthen trade ties and explore investment opportunities.

Organized by the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX), the visit featured meetings with local and national authorities, B2B meetings as well as the evaluation of strategic initiatives like the Pharmaceutical Hub.

Participating companies include Automatic Systems (Security Solutions), Ecosteryl (medical waste management), Altissia (E-learning Providers) and Thales Cyber Solutions Belgium (Cybersecurity)🔒

With the Port of Antwerp and the Panama Canal, both regions are global logistics hubs. In terms of recent commercial developments between the two countries, AB InBev the world’s largest beer producer, recently received the go-ahead to establish a regional HQ in Panama and the involvement of Bureau Greisch in the design of the Fourth Bridge over the Panama Canal.

In the same week a Maritime Trade Mission with 14 Dutch companies was visiting Panama 🇳🇱

The mission featured comprehensive tour of Panama’s Port System on both coasts, participation to the TOC Americas Conference with a joint stand & B2B matchmaking meetings.

It was organized by the Regional Business Development Team of the Netherlands Embassies in Latin America, the Netherlands Embassy in Panama in Panama, and Holland House Panama. The mission featured comprehensive tour of Panama’s port system on both coasts, participation to the TOC Americas Conference with a joint stand & B2B matchmaking meetings.

The participating companies were: Aegir Marine, Arcadis, Cavalier Logistics Caribbean, CDM Holding, Damen, Loxodrome, MTBS, Royal Haskoning DHV, Royal IHC, Van Oord, Wequips, Witteveen+Bos.
